RITWIKA GANGULY
Ritwika Ganguly (b.1999, Kolkata, India) has a BFA in painting from Kala Bhavana, Viswa Bharati University, Santiniketan (2018-22) and MVA in painting from Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda (2022-24). She is currently based in Vadodara.
Ritwika’s practice involves sketching, audio-visual documenting. Her choice of medium varies from drawings, watercolour wash, frame by frame animation, stop-motion, video to projection mapping. Her works reflect her experiences of everyday subconscious gestures. Through her works, she aims to bring these gestures and images out of their quotidian context, and breathe a new life into them.
Ritwika’s work has been a part of the group exhibitions: Emerging Palettes Ed.16 at Srishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad (2026); NEXT/NOW at Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, as a part of ’30 under 30’ in collaboration with Art India Magazine on their 30th anniversary; Nothing Twice at Emami Art, Kolkata, (2026). Her work has also been exhibited at the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Lasalle College of Arts, Singapore (2024-25). Her animation shorts have been screened in the Emami Art Experimental Film Festival in 2024, ‘Lines Fiction’ hand-drawn animation filmrolle exhibition in Berlin and Erfurt, Germany (2024-25).
Ritwika is the winner of the JK Paper Awards: Proposition in Paper 2026. She is currently a participant in the Studio Catalyst mentorship program by Anant Art Gallery.
