Anish Chauhan is a Gujarat-based contemporary visual artist whose practice is deeply influenced by hip-hop culture, graffiti, street aesthetics, and tattoo visual language. He has a Diploma in Painting (2023) from B.A. Mehta Kala Maha Vidyalaya and a Post-Diploma in Creative Painting (2025) from Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Baroda. 

Working primarily through painting and mixed-media approaches, he explores the energy, rhythm, and symbolism of urban environments. His work emerges from direct observation of the street, where architecture, people, signs, memories, and cultural expressions intersect to form complex visual narratives. Drawing inspiration from graffiti writing, tattoo iconography, underground culture, and everyday urban experiences, he creates layered compositions that merge figurative imagery, symbols, typography, and abstract forms. 

His group exhibitions include: Temerity at NCPA, Mumbai with Dilip Piramal Gallery (2025), Lineage as Language at Rukshaan Art, Mumbai (2025), Head no Tail at Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai (2025), People of the Homeland at Rukshaan Art, Mumbai (2025), etc. 

He is currently a participant in the Studio Catalyst mentorship program by Anant Art Gallery.
