SRINIA CHOWDHURY
Srinia Chowdhury is a New Delhi–based artist who has an MFA in Sculpture from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata (2012), and a BFA in Sculpture from College of Art, New Delhi (2010).
Her practice focuses on the tension between personal and socially constructed identities. Working with ceramics as her core medium, she draws from Indian art, mythology, folktales, and popular visual culture to build narrative-driven sculptural works that move between humour, satire, and the phantasmagoria.
Her work has been exhibited at Art of India by The Times of India (2026) and the India Design Fair (2024, 2025), and is part of the collection of the Rothko Museum, Latvia. She received the Jyotsna Bhatt Ceramics Award in 2022 and is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC, 2025). Recent milestones include a fully funded residency at Taoxichuan Art Avenue, Jingdezhen, China (2025), and participation as a demonstrator at the Australian Ceramics Triennale, Perth (2025).
She is currently a participant in the Studio Catalyst mentorship program by Anant Art Gallery. While ceramics remain central to her practice, Chowdhury continues to expand her work across materials, processes, and sculptural forms.
