SANYUKTA KUDTARKAR

Sanyukta Kudtarkar (b. 1998, Goa, India) is a painter from Sawantwadi, India, currently practicing in Baroda. She has an MVA in Painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Vadodara (2025), and a BFA in Painting from Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai (2022).

Sanyukta’s work is built from memories, captured moments and exploration of the local. In an age where digital connections often replace physical presence, her work explores the tension between intimacy and distance inherent in virtual interactions. She often looks at family dynamics and her immediate surroundings for inspiration. She navigates through time and collective/personal histories and memory in her practice.

She has been a part of multiple group exhibitions including: Tropical Lab at Lasalle Institute in Singapore (2025), Imaginarium at Emami Art Gallery, Kolkata (2025), Mycelial Legacies IV at Anant Art Gallery, Noida (2025), and Baroda Unbound: City As A Studio at Exhibit 320, New Delhi (2025). She was part of a scholarship program at the Tropical Lab at Lasalle University, Singapore. She is the recipient of the Inlaks Fine Art Award 2026. In early 2026, she was a part of a residency at Dotwalk Ajitara, New Delhi and is currently a part of the monsoon residency at Space Studio, Baroda. She was the winner of Abir First Take in 2022.

She is currently a participant in the Studio Catalyst mentorship program by Anant Art Gallery.
