AYANTIKA SAJWAL

Ayantika Sajwal (b. 1998, Jhargram, West Bengal) is an artist based in Vadodara, Gujarat. She completed her BFA in Ceramics and Glass from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, and an MVA in Sculpture from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

Ayantika works primarily with clay, terracotta, and mixed materials. Her practice reflects on memory, migration, and cultural narratives, using repetition and tactility as ways to hold space for tenderness, confrontation, and care.

Ayantika received the Kala Sakshi Scholarship and Residency, New Delhi (2024), and will join the Ceramic Residency at Takhman 28 Gallery, Udaipur (2025). Her recent exhibitions include Baroda Unbound: City as Studio, Exhibit320, New Delhi (2025); From Field to Frame, Conflictorium, Ahmedabad (2024); and Studio Subterranean, Gallery Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU, Vadodara (2024). She also took part in the All India Students’ Camp at Arthshila, Patna (2024).
